For more than 25 years, the Carlton Ambassador in The Hague has been a concept for both the business and the leisure market. With 88 luxurious rooms, two stylish conference rooms that offer the possibility for various (business) events and a beautiful restaurant with a spacious and sunny terrace, it is a true pearl for the city.

The hotel is located in a special monumental building on the corner of Sophialaan & Zeestraat, right in the heart of the Embassy district and close by the center and the lively Zeeheldenkwartier.

Restuarant Sophia is a common name for our hotel guests, but also for guests from the neighbourhood. For a delicious cup of coffee with homemade Madeleine, a (business) lunch or the culinary Pure Menu!

These are crazy times in hospitality at the moment, but we are looking forward to the future. Do you gave a great empathy with which you know how to ‘’read’’ our guests in a personal way?

The daily activities

A day at the Ambassador

▪ Checking in and out of guests

▪ Ensuring great hospitality by providing personalized service

▪ Inform our guests about everything The Hague has to offer

▪ Good communication with the other departments of the hotel

▪ Coaching interns; being a buddy for our interns

▪ Contribute to optimization of hotel revenue through upsell and cross-sell

▪ Taking and booking reservations

▪ Take responsibility for your service

A Guest Relations officer has:

▪ Has an infectious passsion and a genuine drive to work in a hotel where the guest experience is central

▪ Has empathy and is communicative and commercially strong

▪ Is eager to learn and has an eye for detail

▪ Is somenone our guests can’t ignore and who sas a sense of entrepreneurship, guts and vision

▪ Speaks and writes English well; Dutch, German & French is an advantage

▪ Is not afraid to make mistakes and wants to get the best out of himself and others
