Perhaps it's time you will find out more about Voorne? Voorne-Putten: a garden on the edge of the main Dutch urban conglomerate. Voorne is located less than half an hour by car from the province of Zeeland on one side and the metropolis of Rotterdam on the other side. This beautiful island has all the necessary ingredients for spending some very enjoyable days away from it all. Behind the dunes, lies a lovely landscape with pastures, woods, meandering dikes, historic (fortified) cities, towns and farmhouses.

The Maasvlakte is also a part of this area. Bearing in mind that ‘Maasvlakte 2' is presently under construction, this place is certainly worth visiting. Be sure to pay a visit to the information centre Future Land. Covering a total exposition area of approximately 1.800 m2, one can get acquainted with the many aspects of the complicated development. Future Land is freely admissible for everyone who likes to know more about the Maasvlakte 2 project. From Future Land you can also pay a visit to Hoek van Holland with the Fast Ferry. When under way you will be amazed by the giant container ships and the VLCC's and super tankers sailing of and on. With 22 knots (40 km/h) on the log the fast catamaran will take you to ‘the Hook' in a quarter of an hour.
