Use the information on this page to assist your journey to the Carlton Beach.

By car

From Amsterdam / Schiphol you can follow the A4 motorway to the direction of The Hague. Then follow the A44 motorway to the direction of The Hague - Centre and Leiden West. The motorway A44 will turn into the N44, follow this road until the intersection direction to Scheveningen N440. Follow the N440 direction to Scheveningen and turn right to the Van Alkemadelaan. You then follow the Van Alkemadelaan and the Zwolsestraat until it crosses the Gevers Deynootweg where you take a right turn at the traffic lights. After 300 metre on the left-hand side, you will see the Carlton Beach.

From Rotterdam / Utrecht, you can follow the A4 and A12 motorway to The Hague and Scheveningen. You enter The Hague via the Utrechtsebaan, which you follow until it ends and you take a right turn at the T-junction (traffic lights) in the direction of Wassenaar. At the next crossing, you take a left turn in the direction of Scheveningen. You then follow the Van Alkemadelaan and the Zwolsestraat until it crosses the Gevers Deynootweg where you take a right turn at the traffic lights. After 300 metre on the left-hand side, you will see the Carlton Beach.

Note: To avoid traffic during the busy summer months, we advise you to go straight ahead when the Zwolsestraat crosses the Gevers Deynootweg. At these traffic lights go straight ahead into the Strandweg passing the VVV Toerist office at your left side. When following the Strandweg, you will see the Carlton Beach.

Parking at Carlton Beach:
Hotel guests can make use of our on-site parking lot, based upon availability. The cost for the parking is € 18,00 per car per night. Unfortunately we cannot reserve parking spaces.

Public transport

The Carlton Beach hotel is conveniently located near public transportation.

Tram
From The Hague ‘Hollands Spoor’ train station, take tram #1 or #9.
From The Hague Central Station take tram #9 and descend on the last stop,"Zwarte Pad".

Bus
Depending where you are in The Hague, you can take buses #21 and #22 and descend on the last stop, ''Zwarte Pad''.

Train
From the station Hollands Spoor, trains are constantly departuring to:
- Amsterdam
- Rotterdam
- Belgium
- France

From the station The Hague Central Station, trains are constantly departuring to:
- Utrecht
- Germany

Both train stations are connected with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (duration: 30 minutes).

There is also a connection with the Thalys to Paris, departuring from station Hollands Spoor.
